Procrastination refers to the conscious avoidance of completing a task which is supposed to be finished. Procrastination could occur in terms of any aspect in life, thus, leading to emotions of inadequacy, guilt, depression, as well as self-doubt. Anyone could sometimes put off things till the very last moment, while procrastinators are chronically in preference to postpone tough tasks and also deliberately seek distractions. In no small part, procrastination reflects one’s perennial struggle against self-regulation as well as one’s inability to predict the exact future feelings. Words like, “I don't feel like it", usually take precedence over the scheduled goals; yet, it begets a declining spiral majorly of negative emotions which could deter any efforts made in the future. For example, almost everyone will not do something they don't like at first time especially for young people according to the Procrastination Styles Results from Survey ( Guglielmo, 2017). As perfectionists are usually procrastinators, it is then psychologically proved to be more easier to refuse tackling a task than to accept the chances of falling short of performance. Therefore, it is necessary, and however, probable to control one’s procrastination with some efforts by enhancing the self-regulation.
