How do we encourage people to explore and learn about the diverse world around them?

By reimagining a classic arcade game, Embark seeks to encourage positive and joyful cultural discoveries that inspires visitors to take simple and achievable steps to get out of their comfort zone.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

America is more diverse than ever and is on its way to becoming a majority-minority nation.

An inclusive and understanding universal culture pushes us towards future progress. Discovering new perspectives and ideas allows for a greater appreciation of the world around us.

EXPLORE THE WORLD

Play a familiar claw machine game to start your journey around the world. You’ll find a capsule that represents a new place to discover.

LEARN ABOUT DIFFERENT CULTURES

Learn interesting facts about countries you explore in a playful and engaging way.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A NEW ADVENTURE

This is your ticket to a journey of engaging yourself in another culture starting with five simple activities. Print it out, take it home with you, and immerse yourself in a new adventure.

At home, families and friends can bond while trying something new together. On the back of the ticket, you can express your creativity by bringing color to the world.

INTERACT AND OBSERVE

The exhibit combines a tangible and digital interactive experience to encourage new learning about diverse cultures as well as reflection on the world around us in a playful and engaging way.

TAKE A MOMENT TO REFLECT

While engaging with the exhibit, take a moment to reflect and write down some places in the world that you would like to go. What new adventures do you want to embark on?

MEMENTOS FROM YOUR JOURNEY

Before you leave, make sure to grab some stickers and flyers! These physical items in addition to the actionable tasks serve as a reminder to reflect on and appreciate the diversity around you.

In the end, we want to encourage discovery and reflection on the beauty of the diverse world around us and inspire new journeys.

In the future, we hope to expand the amount of exciting places that visitors can discover. This way, there will be facts and activities availble so there is something new to try each week.

From recipes to games, there will be enjoyable things to explore. Whether you want a quick activity or a long-lasting engagement, we will provide you with the opportunity to learn and grow!

We want to continue the conversation and the education surrounding exploration and diversity. Elementary school classrooms provide the perfect opportunity to guide children through the process of learning about other cultures while reflecting on what they’ve discovered.

Using the tickets and additional worksheets, learning about other cultures can become a fun and collaborative classroom activity.

We are a team of 7 individuals whose goal is to inspire people to recognize and value diversity around them.
