Problem

Our brains are born with powerful classification capabilities, but naturally this ability brings us bias.

Negative bias can cause prejudice and discrimination. And these hidden biases are hard to recognize in our daily lives.

These unconscious biases, combined with the guidance of the media, can easily influence people's perceptions and cause prejudice within modern society.

We went for an annual checkup and all this doctor wanted us to do was ask about how we wanted to die and get us to sign all kinds of forms. We were very upset and told him, ‘We don’t want to talk about this,’ but he wouldn’t let up. We wanted a doctor who would help them live, not figure out how we were going to die.

We joined another medical practice, there the young doctor barely looked at us after conducting cursory examinations. All we want is a place, its aim is ‘We care about you and our job is to help you be as healthy as possible for as long as possible. It’s a shame this is so hard to find.

How to Remind People to Notice the Bias in Their Heads Before They Make Decisions?

Solution

Using posters combined with AR to tell the story of different types of bias.

Through AR technology, it can show two sides of one story, one side is the appearance we see from the outside, and the other one is the bias they experience within themselves. Besides, AR can combine 2D images and 3D space, this provides the viewer with more detail of each story.
