Finding the audience to see which user group could use this application to the fullest.
I designed a persona of a user, named Tejas, who is "old school" types yet loves to explore modern world. He prefers learning by meeting people personally and could clear his doubts on-the-spot. He is an achiever and likes to set goals for himself.
The purpose was to simply provide user with the information promoting skill development and connections with peers.
Top section- Skills in progress
Bottom section- Skill cards which user learned so far. Consider this as "History" and "Present" progress of an employee
Assume an employee, Tejas, is working at Instrument. He is good at designing mobile applications, but wants to get exposure in Web Designing field. He prefers learning in-person. He goes to SkillsPro, sets a goal of a week to learn basics of web designing and requests his peer for a meeting. Let's see how this works.
Tejas is learning "Communication" skill from a peer named Maria Right. He feels he should check out the notes to see what he learned so far in the meeting and if there is any "to-do-list" given by Maria.
HOME PAGE
This is the landing page after user logs in. The layout is based on "Card style". It has two sections where user can find sufficient information about planning and scheduling the skill development.
User just needs to click on "Learn a new skill" card and it takes user to the page where they input the skills to learn.
Keep on learning and achieving new goals
SKILL CARD
Skills cards provides information of their Goals achieved or ongoing goals. These goals are based on the timeline user has set to meet the peer for skill development. User can see the notes under each peer card to review what he learned during the meeting.
Helps in planning and scheduling skill development
SkillsPro lets employee leverage the skills they have to the peers. It helps in building strong in-network connections. Employees can easily plan and schedule skill development and experience learning process in-person.
I would like to thank Instrument for providing us with a project that has challenged me with each step. The solution fulfills the employee needs and meets the objectives of the performance review.
