01. The Problem
We believe that curated feeds on social media have promoted a culture of comparison and replication, resulting in a loss of true self expression and sense of uniqueness.
02. Our Solution
We're providing visitors with an opportunity to visualize their individuality through personal expression and image abstraction. Visitors answer a few questions about themselves and their personal preferences through an interactive survey. Their answers will then translate into an abstracted visual representation of what makes them unique.
03. Development
The entire platform was built on React.js. The content from the blog was connected to a WordPress so updates would happen dynamically. As for the data generated from the quiz, it would be stored into a backend firebase server and then pulled again when going through the generation process. All of the art was generated via. p5.js using custom algorithms.
04. Exhibition Flow
Users take our survey on an iPad or iPhone before entering the exhibition.
As a takeaway, the user will be able to take a photograph with their personalized generative art.
The user will watch their responses transform into generative art.
They user can take a look at how their responses affected their final artwork at our debriefing station.
