Text saying No Corporate Action Present

Take a dive into an underwater city to see corporations' impact on climate change and what we can do about it.

The Problem

While individual lifestyle changes are important to combat climate change, big industries and corporations are contributing even more greenhouse gases than individual citizens and accelerating the climate crisis with little to no accountability or incentive to stop.

Corporate Emissions

It takes 41,193 people to equal the amount of carbon emissions of 1 singular corporation’s annual emissions.

Our Solution

Build an interactive infographic that educates consumers on the industries contributing the most to climate change while exploring an underwater cityscape devestated by rising sea levels.

Project Goals

A graduation cap

Educate

Educate our audience on how much these industries are contributing to the climate crisis and why urgent action is required to stop them.

A shining star

Motivate

Motivate our audience to get involved and advocate for a better future, supplying them with information on how they can go about making that change.

Two chat bubbles

Communicate

Provide a platform to spread the message through online channels like social media as well as making suggestions on how to take it past the internet.

Visualizing our Information

With the focus around creating a interactive infographic. We decided to create graphics to aid each of our sections. As well as creating graphs and charts that the users can interact with to get a better idea of its’ impact.

With our focus on creating an immersive experience, we decided to include illustrations to aid each section. Adittionally, we created graphs that the users can interact with to get a better idea of corporate impact.

Power Plants

Demonstrating the impact of how neighborhoods and cities get their electricity. One of the biggest causes to GHG emissions are coming from those power plants.

GHG Emissions

Here we invite you in to explore which industries specifically are creating the biggest impacts on our environment.

GHG Consequences

The effects of GHG emissions are rising our sea levels more and more rapidly every day. Which inspired the story and flow of our website.

Over the last 14 weeks, this project has come a really long way. From a rain/sun fountain on your work-desk into what it is now. We could never have gotten to this point without the great feedback from our peers and professors, Adam Smith and Sten Mckinzie. We also want to give a big shout out to our parents for giving us such wonderful support in life and our passions, especially during Covid-19. As a team, we hope you enjoy the experience that we have created!
